A tapered bell of thirty-six sharp pleats that rotate forty degrees between the base and the rim, where they straighten into an eighteen-scallop edge that rolls inward. The pleat valleys are thinner than the crests, so a lit Helix Pleat throws thirty-six soft rays onto the wall behind it.
Designer’s note
Pleated shades are everywhere; most of them are extruded straight up. The twist is what stops this one from looking like folded paper on a tube, and the inward roll at the rim is what stops you seeing the bulb from above. We print it in translucent amber first — the crests glow darker than the valleys and the whole thing reads like blown glass at night.

- Two perimeters, ≥ 1.2 mm; solid rolled rim. Printed in one continuous piece per part, no supports, no glue.
- Light source
- Designed around a Ø80 mm LED puck light (USB or battery), which pushes up into the base ring from below. Light source not included — LED only, never incandescent or halogen.
- Light on the wall
- Thirty-six radial rays on the wall; warm crests, brighter valleys.
- Lead time
- Made to order, 2–3 weeks. Orders this week start on Monday 21 September and ship by 16 October.
- Care
- Dust with a soft dry cloth or a cool hair-dryer. Keep away from direct sun and heat above 50 °C. Indoor use.
